Palolem beach in the far south of goa, is everything you imagine in a perfect tropical beach. Even before you get there, you will have seen this beach used in countless movies and advertisements. A 1.5 Km arc of white sand, stretching from a small island to the north where the ghats come down to the sea to a rocky headland in south, fringed by sawying palm trees,


Palolem beach is an ideal beach that any tourist would be looking for. Besides relaxing on the beach you can also venture into the sea where you will be able to spot the dolphins.

Goa Palolem beach is just 3 km away from Canacona Railway Junction, now on the Konkan Railway. Tourists can take taxis and auto-rickshaws to reach Palolem beach from Margao, 40 km away. There are regular buses from Margao to Palolem that would drop tourists at Canacona village. Panaji, the capital of Goa, is more than 70 km away. There are beautiful beach huts and family room to choose from in Palolem. Try to avoid the weekends, as there is a big crowd of picnickers who throng the Palolem beach in Goa on weekends.

The crescent shape of the beach, with a gentle incline, give ideal swimming conditions making it suitable for all ages and abilities.

Sun loungers and parasols are provided by Cuba to lie back, catch some rays and enjoy the view. A library of books and magazines are available. Cold drinks & snacks are just a call away.

Dolphins are regularly spotted, and boat trips for an up close and personnel can be organized through Cuba. Other day trips available include the weekly market in anjuna, a journey by jeep through forest to dudhasagar waterfall, a visit to the old portuguese fort at Cado Da rama or beach hopping at some of the nearby bays.
